Indian women cricket team won the Asia Cup Twenty20 final in Bangkok on
Sunday beating arch-rivals Pakistan by 17 runs.
This is India's sixth
Asia Cup title - their second since the tournament was rejigged to T20
in 2012. Earlier, Mithali Raj scored her 10th T20 fifty to remain
unbeaten on 73 off 65 balls studded with seven fours and a six. India
set a target of 122-runs.
Pakistan were restricted to 104/6 in their
stipulated 20 overs by India, hugely due to the collective effort in the
bowling department, with Ekta Bisht being the pick of the lot taking
two for 22. Anuja Patil, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey and Preeti Bose
shared a wicket each.
